Charles Trimble, Board Member
Mr. Trimble founded the company that bears his name, Trimble Navigation, in 1978. He served as President and CEO until 1998. During this period, the company grew from a startup to a global corporation. A GPS pioneer, he now serves as Chairman of the U.S. Global Positioning System Industry Council. He received his M.S.E.E. and a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the California Institute of Technology.


Moni Malek, Board Member and Managing Director, Munich GmbH
Mr. Malek was the Vice President of GSM Engineering at Optimay, a subsidiary of Lucent Technology. He has extensive international experience in the worldwide GSM market (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and China) where Optimay GSM software is used in various wireless phones. He has over 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry and has been involved in digital cellular wireless since its inception. He received his M.S.E.E. from Cambridge University.


Arthur Woo, President and CEO
Mr. Woo has 28 years of experience in the electronics and GPS industries. Priorto co-founding eRide in 1999, he worked at Trimble Navigation where he was LabManager, Project Manager, Manager of Advanced Products, and a Member of the TechnicalStaff. He led the project team that brought to market the first handheld GPSreceiver. He holds numerous GPS related patents. He has also worked at LittonSystems, Acrian Inc., Hewlett Packard, and Avantek Inc. Mr. Woo received hisM.S.E.E. from Stanford University and his B.S.E.E. from San Jose State University.


Dr. Paul W. McBurney, Chief Technology Officer
Dr. McBurney is a co-founder of eRide. Prior to eRide, he worked at Trimble Navigation where he was Lab Manager, Senior Scientist, and a Member of the Technical Staff. He was the lead designer, manager, and implementer of an advanced GPS architecture presently being used by a major Japanese electronics company. He has brought to market three separate GPS architectures, has authored many articles and white papers, and holds numerous GPS patents. Prior to Trimble Navigation, he worked at Stanford Telecommunications. Dr. McBurney received his Ph.D. and M.S.E.E. from Iowa State University and his B.S.E.E. from St. Ambrose University.
