Network Products
eRide offers customers and service providers several means of providing the Assisted GPS (A-GPS) data to end users. Depending on the application and the product implementation, these provide a wide range of flexibility and options.
eRide owns and operates a worldwide Global Reference Network of GPS Reference Stations and a high availability A-GPS Server that, using a simple TCP/IP based connection service, such as GPRS, can quickly and easily provide the A-GPS data as required upon request.
The A-GPS Server Software can also be configured to run on a customer supplied Server which obtains the necessary GPS data from eRide’s Global Reference Network. This allows Service Providers to operate their own Server that can provide the A-GPS data as well as any form of additional Location Based Services desired.
eRide can also supply the necessary API and eRide Serial Interface Protocol (eSIP) commands to enable implementation of A-GPS by a customer for use with A-GPS enabled eRide GPS receivers.
Complete systems consisting of GPS Reference Stations and A-GPS Server Software can provide a turnkey, end-to-end solution completely under the control of the Service Provider.
